Mayoral Candidate, Don Guzman, will moderate a discussion on the challenges facing small business in Maui County on June 26, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Lumeria Maui. Small Business owners and operators, as well as the general public, are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts. This will be an “open conversation” to identify problems and discuss what can be improved for small businesses operating in Maui County. The discussion will follow an open mic format where participants can share stories about their successes and challenges encountered while navigating the world of small business in our community, and provide suggestions on how Maui County can become a champion for our local small businesses.

As a practicing attorney, Guzman is a small business owner himself, and he has experienced firsthand the challenges that entails. As a candidate for Mayor, Guzman intends to put the slogan “Leadership that Listens” to work for Maui County by hosting events like this one. Said Guzman, “Small business is a major component of our local economy, and I look forward to hearing from one and all about how our government can assist in your success. And if the County is getting something wrong, I want to hear about that too.” He continued, “Community discussion and sharing ideas is key if we are to “Bring Real Solutions Forward.”

This engaging Small Business Summit with Don Guzman is sponsored by the Friends of Don Guzman and will be held at 6:00 pm on June 26, 2018 at Lumeria Maui located at 1813 Baldwin Ave., Makawao. All are encouraged to attend to let your voice be heard! Light refreshments will be provided.
